Christmas List

I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures. I have a ton of pictures from Thanksgiving that I will be uploading soon. There are also some videos I want to put up here, too, but I'm having trouble loading them to the computer. I'll work on it though.

So, many people have been asking me what to get Alden for Christmas. I decided I'd put a list of things he needs for Christmas for you curious buyers. We can't wait for Christmas! It should be exciting watching Alden interact with all the family and open presents for the first time!

Alden's List:
Enfamil Prosobee Lipil Powder Formula
Huggies Baby-Shaped Fit Diapers- probably size 3 by Christmas
Target Brand Diapers- probably size 3 by Christmas
Diaper Wipes (Huggies or Target brand-unscented, either refills or packs)
Outlet Covers (since he'll be crawling soon)
Johnny Jump-up or something similar (attaches to door frame)
Walker (he loves being mobile- I think he could use some help)
Long-sleeve onesies/shirts for 6 months or 6-9 months
Long-sleeve sleepers for 6 months or 6-9 months
Spring clothes for 9-12 months (probably)
Wooden blocks
Socks
Shoes (size 2 0r 3)
Eric Carle Board Books (Very Quiet Cricket, Very Busy Spider, etc.)
Dark Cherry Wood Shelves (for his room)
Dark Cherry Wood Bookcase (for his room)
Big Toy Box
Learning Toys (not electronic)
Baby Tylenol
Kelty Framepack Carrier (this is for one of us to carry Alden on hikes)

I think that's about it. On the clothes, the pieces that fit him best are those that are long and skinny rather than short and wide. Carter's fits him well. So does Baby Gap. On pants, he is still in 0-3 months because his waist is small. He will probably be moving up to 3-6 months soon. His torso is ahead of his legs on clothing sizes. He really has tons of toys already. We are great need of staple baby items like diapers and formula because they are exspensive and money is always tight. Anything you want to give will be appreciated greatly by all of us!

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone. I am sad that we probably won't be able to see Joey's family this Christmas, unless they come over here and stay. But we did have a wonderful Thanksgiving with all of them. They even sent back gifts for Christmas with us! I CAN'T STAND IT. They are in my living room "underneath" our peace lily (haven't got a tree yet- don't know if we can), and I want to know what is in them so badly! I have to wait and I hate it!! But, I guess that's the fun of Christmas. I'm sure Currie did it to torture me ;)

I love you all and I'll post more pictures soon. Currie- I expect those pictures on a CD ASAP! Just kidding...kind of.

Long Time No Post

I am sorry to all of you who check this site often! I don't know why I haven't updated in forever. Regretfully, at this moment, I do not have the time to upload pictures. Hopefully, I will later today after I get everything done. We are getting ready for our first big car trip with Alden tomorrow to NC to see the folks. We can't wait! I hope Alden is going to behave. Hopefully he will since we are going to be driving at night. Maybe he'll just sleep the whole time. Anyhow, now I am going to tell you what Alden has been up to.

On his 3 month birthday, Alden found his feet! He was laying on his back and grabbed his toes. After a few days, he got bored with that and quit doing it. He started learning how to make high pitched and long noises with his voice and how to gargle the spit in the back of his throat. He loves the combination of those sounds. He is talkative. Actually, I hear him waking up right now. Anyway, he doesn't sleep through the night yet, but he is in his own room. I think he likes his crib. He cuddles up next to his Tigger and goes to sleep, usually without me rocking him or anything. He has had his first cereal around 3 and half months and loves trying to feeding himself. There is an adorable video of that I need to post on here. SORRY! At 4 months, he is sitting up pretty well with some support, loves his feet again (can almost get them to his mouth), and can grab anything! He also can push himself up when he lays on his stomach, and if he thrashes enough he kind of scoots...but no crawling yet. He is starting to teethe and is pretty grumpy right now because of it. What a fun stage.

I have to go take care of him now. I'll try to post more later or after Thanksgiving!
