Videos coming soon...

I know you all probably hate the "all text" posts, but this is one. Yeah, yeah, go ahead and exit out the window. I know you don't read it. You just skip to the pictures, don't ya? Caught ya. Just kidding!

As you read, Alden has crawled from the middle of the living room to the dining room where I am seated at the computer trying earnestly to get these videos uploaded. I have about 5 from Christmas, one of him walking with the laundry basket, and I am soon going to get video of his crawling. He is now fully mobile. He started actually moving a little a week ago. This week, it's katie bar the door. He can go anywhere. And he LOVES it. I PROMISE I will get video up here of that and some pictures of him. He is beautiful to me. We have a good time together, now that we can play. However, I am going to start working very soon. I have been offered jobs at two child care places, now I just have to see which will have an opening for Alden to be there with me and the pay comparison. I should hear back today and make a decision before next week. I am looking for part or full time. I think it will do Alden some good to get out and be around other people to socialize and be entertained. He is so very outgoing and needs the scheduled activities that will be at child care. And he will be with me or not far. I didn't want any other job where I would have to leave him somewhere else. I wanted to be with him and also make the extra needed money. One income just doesn't cut it in America anymore, mainly due to insurance. If only we all had the same insurance and didn't have to worry with it. Well, I'm not going to get on a rant about that right now. This site is mainly for Alden so I'll hush :)

We are all doing well, just very, very busy with working out, biking, finding jobs, etc. But we are happy and greatly enjoying life together a little family!

When I can get the stupid videoegg site to work, I will upload videos. I have been trying for an hour, and it keeps messing up. I am trying though!!!!

Love you all.

January Pictures!!

Alden is 6 Months Old!! And on his 6 month birthday, he had his first real booboo with blood. It was scary. He busted his mouth between his lip and gums on the top falling on his activity table. But he's fine. Most days he likes to stand holding onto things and walk pushing the laundry basket down the hall! He had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday of this week, and she said he is perfect. He's 18 1/2 lbs and 27 1/2 inches long! We changed his formula yet again to normal Good Start Supreme to see if we can get him to stop puking so much. He's taking it fine, and I think he is spitting up less. During the last week he tried bananas mixed with rice cereal, and he absolutely loves it! I've shown him the sippy cup, and he kind of understands how to use it, though he doesn't yet. He sits up very well on his own now and loves to try to crawl. He can crawl now, but it's slow with lots of belly flops. However, I am shocked sometimes when I leave the room and come back to see how far he has traveled as an inchworm. He still loves Daddy's guitar playing and music like Pink Floyd, Deftones, and Tool. He pitches a fit at soft music. He loves car rides. He loves his rubber toy snake, mainly for teething. I think I feel a tooth about to cut through on the bottom! He has gone out to eat with us and some friends and family a few times lately. Alden does really well sitting up at the table in a high chair, eating and playing. We are so proud of all his progress and how much he growing up.

Mommy and Daddy have still been trying to work out. You can actually see Daddy's new shoulder muscles in one of the pictures of Alden. Joey has gained 10 lbs, and I have lost 10 lbs! Alden and Mommy have been helping Daddy some at his work and shopping at the Goodwill store for things to sell on eBay. Last weekend, Mommy and Daddy went mountain biking at Long Hunter, and it was a blast! Mommy really likes it!!!!! But, we now have a problem because we can't both go unless we have someone to watch Alden... phooey. So I guess Mommy will stay home most of the time unless we can find a babysitter. It was still fun though! Also, Mommy is looking for a job in a child care situation, part time or full time, so that Alden can be there, too. We could really use the extra money for savings and what not.

Well, that's the update on the Dail-Krapf family. Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!

Update and Some Christmas Pictures

I forgot to tell everyone what Alden is up to now at 5 months! This has been a very significant month for him. He is learning how to communicate some, though not very effectively (we are going to work on sign language soon), and he is really becoming his own person. You can see his personality for the first time. He is opinionated, independent, and easily frustrated, but he is also determined, humourous, and loving. He is standing holding onto things and sitting by himself. He is trying to crawl but is doing more of an inch worm number to the toys he wants. He loves taking toys and banging them against hard surfaces. I bought him a little tykes xylophone so he can take full advantage of his wild swings to start making music. And he loves his jumper we got him. He can get quite high in it, well, high for a 5 month old anyway. He loves being played with sort of rough and daring, like being swung and gently tossed or flown up in the air. He loves faces and reading books at night time. He is teething big time and very fussy with it. I wish his first tooth would hurry up and come in! But he seems to be doing fine and growing well otherwise.

Now here are some pictures I took from Christmas and some I took before the holidays. I hope to upload some videos soon as I have quite a few from Christmas morning and other times that I think you would enjoy. But here are these for now. And when Currie sends me the ones he took, I really will put those up here. I guess I should make it a New Year's Resolution to keep up with this thing, eh?
