A Day at the Pool

Our Labor Day

Daddy thought the pool was too cold, but mommy and Alden had a great time swimming-mainly climbing the ladder! Daddy snapped the pictures! Alden learned that he could stand on the first step of the ladder and jump into mommy's arms! It was wonderful fun!

First Trip to the Zoo

We decided to go the Nashville Zoo today. When we arrived, we got all checked in and arrived at the first exhibit with our rented stroller.

We got to view these beautiful Hyacinth Macaws for 20 minutes while we waited with many other families for the workers to catch a Gibbon on the loose. Then we actually had to leave the park for them to catch it. After a while, our trip actually started, again.

This primate was swinging through the trees, and Alden loved looking at it and pointing!

The Meerkats where fun! Alden liked looking at them and saying "dog".
Alden really liked looking at fish in the nice, cool indoors. He got to stand up right next to the glass. One little fish came up and checked him out!

Alden also really enjoyed the bat exhibit.

And the turtles.

And he finally got the concept of going to each exhibit and looking in the window for something new!

This was a long hallway of fish, which he ran through.

Well, we went onto a few more exhibits, and mommy's stomach virus suddenly returned. That cut the trip short. But not before Alden got to have his first taste of Dippin' Dots at the Zebra exhibit.

Alden stayed in good spirits about the whole thing. We promised him we'd take him again when it is cooler and mommy is not recovering from being out of work for three days (way to go mom).

Like Father,

Like Son.
