And he climbs and climbs and...BUILDS!

Well, Alden is in full motion! He walks and crawls about 50/50 and is CLIMBING on everything. He is actually does very well. I think he and his daddy will be rock climbing in a few years! He LOVES water, and we have been taking him swimming at least once a week. He is learning how to hold his breath and swim. It almost comes naturally to him. This past weekend we purchased a new table and chairs set for our dining room and were putting it together. Alden was crawling all over everything. Then we looked over and he was taking a screw and putting it into one of the pre-drilled holes on the chair! He would put it in over and over again, never breaking his concentration. We captured some of it on film, and there is one picture on here of him trying to put the screw in the top. We were amazed, as we continue to be with how developed he is for his age. He understands how to put a ball in the hole on one of his toys by himself, over and over again. He LOVES books and will sit and read for a half hour if you let him.
Kona recently got neutered and came through surgery fine- as if it would phase the mighty cattle dog a bit! He's not supposed to jump up, and we've not had ANY success keeping him from doing that. He is a good dog for the most part and is now housebroken! We got another dog for about a week- a coyote cattle dog mix- to try and help Kona's massive separation anxiety. It did fix that problem, but brought with it a myriad of others. Basically there was too much dog and too little house/yard. We had to find him another home. Tanner was very sweet, though, and pretty patient with Kona.

I have been having weird abdominal pains and stomach issues for about a week. I am going to the doctor tomorrow to investigate it more. I do feel some better today than I have, so maybe it was some kind of stomach bug.
I am also considering going full time at my job and putting Alden there in the baby room. They are willing to let me pay LESS that I was paying Maddy, and Maddy won't be able to watch Alden after Friday because she is getting a full time job elsewhere. The problems are 1) Kona can't be by himself that long, and especially with what he does in the crate or to the house, 2) I don't know if Alden will like it, 3) I'm afraid Alden will get sick often, and 4) It'll be more time away from my SON and less time to get things done around here. My employers and co-workers REALLY want me to go full time, but I'm not so sure. We would use the money, but we are making it (though barely) with my working only part time. As long as my mom and brother can watch Alden to get him through the summer, I might just stay part time.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying there warm weather! Remember, Alden's birthday is July 19th- he'll be one ALREADY! CRAZY! We are going to have a big celebration, and I can't wait!

And by the way, thank you SO much to everyone that came to our wedding and brought/sent us gifts. We really enjoyed everything! I have thanks yous that I am working on :)
